SALON SPATORIA PARTNERS WITH
HOPE CHEST FOR BREAST CANCER
Orono/Navarre, MN– October XX, 2005 –Hope Chest for Breast Cancer, a Minnesota-based nonprofit dedicated to raising money to support breast cancer causes, announced today that Salon Spatoria, a salon in downtown Victoria, will recognize National Breast Cancer Month through contributions to Hope Chest. “Salon Spatoria, a new salon in Victoria, is honored to partner with the Hope Chest” said Kathryn Paradise, Robin Robey and Melissa Hanson, co-owners of the salon. In October Salon Spatoria will be offering all of its current customers the opportunity to raise money for the Hope Chest. Salon Spatoria will provide a percentage of sales to the Hope Chest. All customers of Salon Spatoria will also get a coupon for 20% off one item at the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Retail Shop. For the month of October, Salon Spatoria will have a donation box at the salon for customers to financially contribute personally to the Hope Chest. For more information call Spalon Spatoria at 952.443.1652 or visit them at 1750 Tower Blvd, Ste. 102, in Victoria, Minnesota.
“Hope Chest is honored to be the recipient of Salon Spatoria’s generosity,” said Barbara Hensley, Founder of Hope Chest. “We have had such wonderful support from Twin Cities businesses, and Salon Spatoria is just one more example of the philanthropic nature of our community.”
“Breast cancer is one of the most devastating of all diseases and we are dedicated to supporting women who need assistance during such a difficult time. Salon Spatoria believes in working with local charities like the Hope Chest which, like Salon Spatoria, is a local Twin Cities business” says Hanson.
“Our goals with this donation are to help assure that all women in our community know about breast cancer and their risks and to remove some of the barriers they may face for getting the required screening and treatment,” said Barbara Hensley, founder and board chair of Hope Chest for Breast Cancer. Hensley lost her mother to lung cancer and two sisters to breast cancer. According to Hensley, the money raised through this Salon Spatoria’ promotion will help support the various programs that provide assistance to those touched by breast cancer. It will be combined with the revenue stream from the Orono/Navarre retail store which raises money through the sale of donated, very upscale furniture, accessories and clothing along with money raised through its annual Hope Has No Boundaries Shopping Extravaganza, November 17-19 at Eden Prairie Center.
