The HOPE CHEST is proud to announce our recent grant recipients:

 

Open Arms helps people with illness through preparing and delivering over 185,000 meals in 2007, a 34% increase in service over the 138,000 meals that were produced in 2006. Their mission is to provide nourishment for hundreds of people dealing with difficult illnesses. The Hope Chest grant of $25,000 is designated to specifically meet the nutritional needs of women experiencing breast cancer.  To learn more about the Open Arms organization go to CLICK HERE

 

The Breast Health Center at Regions Hospital is dedicated to improving breast health for all women. The $10,000 grant from the Hope Chest is earmarked to aid indigent women in need of education and financial support to keep their lives intact while they are facing breast cancer. The Regions Breast Health Center focuses on health, healing and hope, not just disease. The Angel Foundation is a patient focused non-profit organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for patients throughout the cancer experience. While many organizations raise funds for cancer research, Angel Foundation focuses on the personal day to day needs and necessities of cancer patients. The Angel Foundation provides financial assistance for basic non-medical needs and necessities such as help with housing payments, utilities, food and other essential living expenses. This support helps reduce the stress of lifestyle changes in order to retain dignity and quality of life.  The $50,000 grant from the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer will fund these “emergency” situations for woman with breast cancer.  To learn more about the Angel Foundation go to: www.mnangel.org
